We cannot tell you the story of Maison Pichon Uzès without talking to you… about Uzès. Our history, our roots are anchored in this territory, the very foundation of our identity. Indeed, legend explains it to us, it was while walking that Toussaint Pichon noticed the clay of this land and decided to become a potter.

So let's talk about this city with its captivating atmosphere and our precious and endearing territory.

Uzès is a city in the south of France. It is located in the Gard near larger cities such as Avignon, Nîmes or Alès. Halfway between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean, its landscapes almost remind us of those of Tuscany... but better.

Uzès borders the Alzon river and is located near the sources of the Eure fountains. These same sources which have supplied Avignon and Nîmes for centuries via a network of aqueducts and the well-known Pont du Gard. The creation of the city is thus located around the first century BC. Today we find numerous archaeological remains which make up a real tourist wealth that we invite you to discover!

But the historical riches of this territory do not stop at Antiquity. Stroll through the town and its medieval center, you will be able to admire the fortified constructions such as the imposing Bermonde Keep of the Ducal Castle. Continue your stroll and you will be won over by St Théodorit Cathedral. If this is not the case, you will be by the atmosphere of the Place aux Herbes and by the architecture of its arcaded residences. All this sitting on the terrace!

Finally, the house's small preference remains the atmosphere of the small streets of the old center. Uzès being a city of history but also of art, these are a way to discover the numerous small shops and art galleries, each more charming than the last.
